- Description
- This was a student project by Robert Douglas Lemon, Autumn 2005, for Raffaella Fabiani-Giannetto's LARCH 640. The purpose of this studio was to investigate the Whittier Peninsula, an existing brownfield site in Columbus, and create a civic space that would tie it into the surrounding urban environment. One aspect to my design process was analyzing historic connectivity of the site by outlining historic map lines of transportation. The lines were then overlaid and were interpreted to better see levels of connectivity intensity over time. The intensity was then used in reshaping the terrain and helping determine how to better integrate the site with the surrounding culture and city. -- Robert Douglas Lemon~root~>
