Worlds of Weinland seeks to create several typologically unique, yet intertwined worlds: a dense urban town center, a mythical forest moat, an agricultural pasture, and an open, unprogrammed park, for recreation and leisure. From the southwest, all of these worlds can be accessed via their own gates: the farmers market pulls the street into the world of the fields, the seed bank guards the entrance to the demonstration gardens, which mediate between the field and park, a grand entrance to the park grants views across to the vistas of the picnic pavilion and gardener's house, the cafe delays entrance to the town center, and you slip past the florist to gain entrance to world of the forest. These moments of intersection are animated over and over again throughout the site. It is possible to become lost individually in each world, but each world animates the activity in those beside it.~root~>
