This was a student project by Taylor Smith for Sandhya Kochar's course ARCH 3410 in Autumn 2017. A U shaped bar is cracked open to reveal the precious contents of what it holds to the campus, like a book. The shapes on the interior are derived from a study of typography. Curves are favored over straight lines because of their relationship to the human body. The curves were carefully chosen to best conform to a human body. The same forms are strewn across the landscape, to create individual reading pavilions for students in between classes.~root~>
