This was a student project by Rachel Schmitmeyer for Emily Mohr's course ARCH 2420 in Spring 2018.
Drawing inspiration from John Andrew’s Gund Hall, this building explores the arrangement of section. Different stepping heights are reflected throughout the building, such as the light boxes of the roof and the floor of the lower auditorium. The stepping of the spaces is echoed by the vertical and horizontal arrangements of windows and wall patterns, as well as in the landscaping.
