- Description
- First, it must be discussed what types of produce Sprouting Cities might already plan on growing in Franklinton, how they would like it to be grown, and their reasonings as to how and why they came to these decisions. Then, the following questions will be asked of community members and relevant stakeholders in Franklinton within a focus group setting, in what we call the community cookout: What type of produce would you like to see be grown in the community of Franklinton? What produce do you see the residents and local community benefitting from the most? Is it important to the community that the Sprouting Cities grows produce that is organic? Once information is gathered, responses and public opinions will be assembled into written reports for Sprouting Cities to decide if the public's view might alter the company's decision or provide better insight as to what might work best for the community of Franklinton. Additionally, this process will identify and get to know relevant stakeholders and integrate public participation in the decision process. It will allow for community members to have input in what produce the might benefit from, as the community is the customer of the product.~root~>
