Description
This plan was written by Ohio State undergraduate students in the City and Regional Planning Program under Professor Roxyanne Burrus. This plan was written in conjuntion with OHM Advisor’s who were comissioned to write a downtown plan for the City of Massillon, Ohio. Students worked together to write an existing conditions report that analyzed the history of the city, demographics, and conditions within the built environment. After completing this analysis, the students prepared a Fast, Fun, Easy chapter. This chapter gives the city ways to implement revitalization throughout the downtown in an engaging, quick way. Lastly, the students culminated their ideas into an outline of identified principles. Each principle identifies a target area that needs improvement in the downtown. Using survey data and the existing research, students outlined ways in which the city can improve and revitalize the downtown. This report was sent to OHM to place in their final Downtown Plan for Massillon, Ohio. Students and their contributions are listed here.
