Description
This was a student project by Aleah Westfall for Erik Hermann and Sandhya Kochar's course ARCH7410 in Autumn 2018. The project consists of two self-intersecting knots that are contained inside of a frame. This form of study produces mixing chambers for the hotel guest and the public gallery and restaurant spaces. The form of the knot directs the visitors to move throughout the project. With the addition of apertures, the skin of the knot becomes perforated allowing for constant transition from the enclosure of the knot to the expansion of the partial exterior. Project Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
