This was a student project by Nicklaus Fawver for Jason Kentner, Jesse Hartman and Karla Trott's course LARCH 3950 in Spring 2019.
Four tiny homes were sited in an undeveloped parcel in the Rush Creek Neighborhood alongside the existing ravine. My design was laid out based on three long bars that would cross the ravine and establish house to house connections. The bars were defined by bridges and walls which help with the vertical separations of the site. Each home is located at least 6 feet above or below the nearest one to it, allowing for each house to have its own private space and connection to the existing woodland. Programmed spaces are the located withing the central bowtie shape created between the 4 homes and their accompanying walls.
