Exposure spatially reveals the cross-fertilization of programs, activities, and interactions among community members in an effort to encourage healthy lifestyle opportunities while providing the necessary tool to succeed in a competitive job market.
Food education and production is fostered by creating dynamic spaces where Weinland Park community members cultivate gardens, food-based careers and small businesses. Spaces are designed for overlapping programs in an effort to expose its users to growing, preparing, selling and serving fresh and healthy food and ultimately gaining job training. The larger community also helps sustain the site through revenue-generating business ventures such as office space, a bar, a restaurant and rentable events space.
