Description
Midwest contributes more than 127 million acres agricultural land and 75% of them are growing corn and soybeans. These farms occupied most plain area with good soil condition. In Ohio, most livestock farms located on hills in the southeast. Because of the expanding of farmlands, Ohio is facing a seriously deforestation issue. Most farms turned forests, which originally can absorb Greenhouse Gas like Carbon Dioxide, into agricultural fields, which will emission Greenhouse gas. Those greenhouse gases will make a significant impact on environment, results in a series of climate shocks, flooding drought extreme heat or frost, and some ecological damage like soil erosion and decreasing biodiversity of wild animals and plants.
