Description
Research Background: Unstabilized Rammed Earth (URE) is relatively a niche area of research within the broader field of sustainable construction material, there has been a growing interest due to the sustainability and eco-friendliness of the material. Adding to that, there is immense scope on this topic as there are wide range of fibers and contexts to be considered.
Research question: Would plant fibers from native plant species of mid-west be used as a reinforcement in Unstabilized Rammed Earth (URE) and provide similar outcomes as common plant fibers from semi-arid regions do?
