This project envisions a rural community energy co-op that pools resources, knowledge, and effort to provide resilience, self-reliance, and a sustainable agricultural model for the future of communities like Yuma, Colorado. A utility-scale biodigester system integrates with existing wastewater treatment infrastructure to transform city sewage, cattle manure, and crop residues into biogas (methane) and fertilizer. The biogas storage facility also serves as a solar collector and social public space, extending the reach and integration of the energy co-op into the community.~root~>
