This visiting scholar housing, located near the OSU campus, is designed to immerse scholars in campus life and facilitate their integration into the surrounding community. The project features three distinct "circles" in its design. The first is the open gathering area, which serves as the connection between the community and scholars, encompassing the nearby residence. The second circle is reflected in the spiral staircase and cylindrical bookshelf. As an important component, it governs the distribution and use of space inside the building. Lastly, individual units incorporate elements of a quarter-circle and square, forming the third circle. Additionally, four walls come from the central circle as secondary components, further dividing the space within the grid and helping navigate circulation. Externally, an operable aluminum rain-screen maximizes privacy while maintaining optimal lighting conditions within the building envelope.~root~>
