Description
Pencil sketch of woodland scene, which was used to create a colored sketch for the associated publication, and two inset drawings: ferns (used in the booklet) and an herbaceous plant (not used). “Where exhibit habitats require a temperate forest environment (such as the North American woodland on the opposite page), the addition of understory plants such as dogwood, viburnum, wild hydrangea and azalea, along with hostas and naturalizing ground covers, will provide an exciting landscape setting within the existing woodland areas.†A colored version of this sketch is zoo_lou_sk_05.
