Mi'a Istikhdam (100 Uses)" is situated on a narrow lot running parallel to Grandview Ave at the intersection of 3rd Ave in Grandview Heights. The site model features seven distinct "formal characters" that have been adapted to create a diverse array of spaces, varying in type and scale. These spaces are designed to be inviting and versatile, encouraging a wide range of uses and users.
A translation between the vertical and horizontal. "Neues Bauen" is a spatial study that explores depth through the interplay between vertical and horizontal planes. By utilizing existing structures with inherent incentive qualities, it converges various elements into a cohesive assemblage of spaces. The outcome embodies a tension between the practical and the abstract, challenging the limitations of built environments.
