My library of things looks at the movement of people and objects through the social gathering of athletics. Fueled by motion, the form of the facility takes runners throughout the neighborhood to not only get an exercise, but view matches being played. The emphasis on community is heightened because of this backdrop. The library is addressed in the sublevels below, as rentable objects for the public are stored and then ascend through the athletic spaces, promoting the tension between the two major programs. People can move in between both programs as they see fit. While working out, one can see a particular object as they move by it and be driven into exploring more of the object library. And conversely, one who is arriving with the sole purpose of renting an item for personal use could be inspired to partake in some of the activities they pass by. Sport forces people into motion which allows for interaction among people who perhaps would not have crossed paths before.~root~>
