Description
This was a student project by Dominic Plavny, Winter 2006, for Jane Amidon's LARCH 633. The object of this project was to select a landscape in which the student develops a phased planting plan that will create a consequential change in the landscape. My project was the Cuyahoga river bank in downtown Cleveland. The area is an active industrial landscape. The goal of the design was to successfully integrate this active industrial landscape and a public park. The design is explained fully on the 3 project boards. --Dominic Plavny This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. The effort to preserve and digitize drawings in the Student Archives was sponsored in part by the Graham Foundation. Keywords: student work, KSA, drawings and plans, planting design, outdoor spaces, riverside, waterfronts.
