This is a student project by Stephanie Hayward, Roya Seyedsary, David Thrasher from Winter 2010. The second year of the graduate program is devoted to practice. Studios focus on materiality and organization, and are supported by courses in systems and theory. Design projects are large in scale with hybrid programs on complex urban sites. First quarter projects are a thorough investigation of an institutional or infrastructural program on an urban site that also engages issues of landscape. The second quarter concludes the core studio sequence with an urban housing project that approximates the demands of professional practice while offering alternatives to conventional solutions. During the third quarter, second-year students join their first-year colleagues in the vertical studios. This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present.~root~>
