This duplex project stems from a previous single family house project in which the client suffered from being a germaphobe. The duplex's form is created by a single surface that folds over itself and a ribbon that weaves through both houses to create spaces, act as circulation, facade, and the demising wall. In the house with the germaphobe mother who lives with her daughter, there are spaces such as a safe room and a kitchen where the ribbon allows the two of them to interact with each other. -- Mary Lange This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University by Mary Lange.
