This was a student project by Michael Pasquale for Luke Kautz's ARCH 241 course, Autumn 2006. By recreating the circulation of nutrients through plants, a new understanding of flows and pressures could be related to traffic patterns and densities. In developing a rest stop the material processes of the plant were used to accommodate highway traffic and rest stop facilities. Through emphasizing the organic flows both structure and program were developed to keep a deep surface relation to the site. -- Michael Pasquale This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. Keywords: student work, KSA, drawings and plans.~root~>
