This was a graduate student project by Kysa M. Heinitz for Jose Oubrerie's ARCH 842 course, Winter 2006. The potential for site malleability defines the project via an investigation into how the land defines the form and the form redefines the land. The building and landforms merge and interlock creating a condition which both reflects out onto the surrounding hillside and infects inwards to harbor intimate pockets of reflection. The building operates continuous with the landscape as well as being nestled into the natural slope, uprooted from the baseline and extruding out to redefine the horizon. ---- Kysa M.
