Description
This was an undergraduate student project by Laura M. Duplain for Jane Amidon's LARCH 457 course, Autumn 2004. This project involved study of dysfunction. Project: Construct an environment that communicates what this thing is about, using only a single sheet of 18x24 Bristol board, trace paper, pins, glue, and drafting tape. Extract a single characteristic of the constructed environment that is most compelling to you. Using clay, create a form that magnifies this characteristic to its strongest expression. Translate the abstract form into Landform. Draw contours that represent the form as topography. The resulting grading plan should be scanned and plotted on an 18x24 sheet along with photos of the original object, the interpretation and translation models and minimal explanatory text. Keywords: dysfunction, student work, KSA.
