Description
The design of the Spring Pavilion utilizes a non-traditional style of framing. Continuous curves articulated with dimensional lumber accommodate seating on two levels of the spring foundation. Changing from roof to furniture along each curve in both directions, these curves frame particular views depending on where one is seated within the pavilion. The roof creates a grotto-like area in the lower portion of the spring, relating itself to the history of the spring house typology.
