Food Service Kiosk

Description: The Food Serivce Kiosk is Herrick Archives Number S 02. It was located at 176 North Oval Mall. This was a small frame structure housing food vending machines. It was not anchored and could be readily moved to a new location. The whole structure rests on a wooden platform 10' 3'' x 12' 4'' and is covered by a roof of the same size. Two enclosed areas and vending machines on the base are set back 15-20'' on all four sides. This building was removed to storage in late December, 1976. It was replaced by two precast concrete walls against which vending machines are placed. These walls were designed by a student competition and were put in place in 1976.
