Description
This is a student project by Elizabeth Schneider for ARCH 641 in Autumn 2010. A piece of furniture was created using the snapshot method in 3D Studio Max. With this method several furniture typologies were combined into one piece of furniture. The snapshot method allowed the furniture to fluidly evolve from the profile of a chair into a table and a lounge. This method allows the beginning profile of the chair to be manipulated into other shapes as it moves through space, ultimately creating the entire piece of furniture. This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. The effort to preserve and digitize drawings in the Student Archives was sponsored in part by the Graham Foundation.
