Description
Architecture is defined as site specific and space defining. The dress changes the site from the typical landscape to a more familiar form, the body, and hyper-defines the female form, curves. The glass and copper, traditional building materials, are reinvented to fit the new site. The glass serves as cladding, but not in the traditional sense. It does not block view and is perceived as dangerous instead of protecting the body. When worn, the sound from the glass is heard well before the dress is seen, announcing the wearer like a ball gown's rustle does in an old black and white film.
