Description
Site design for a 300+ acre functioning General Motors assembly plant. Main objectives focus on the health and vitality of site and worker. Site health is improved via stormwater management techniques and on-site green energy production. Using harvested stormwater, algae is cultivated (inside tanks) then converted to energy which in turn is used to power hydrogen fuel generators. Newly assembled hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are then 'gased up' on site. Worker health is improved via polyculture fields located within short distance of work stations. These fields grow fresh, healthy produce for worker nutrition and provide a lush, dynamic space for walking and resting. The plan promotes a new form of Midwestern cultivation, one that embraces hybridity and is holistic in scope.
