This was a student project by Kyu Ho Chun for Jose Oubrerie's ARCH 441 course, Autumn 2006. Columbus city is the top 15 largest city in the States with great resources and potentials of bringing may tourists from all over the world. However, unlike big cities, such as New York, Chicago or Seattle, there is no well-known architectural building in Columbus OH. To follow and maintain what's the big city, a high rise and high density tower needs to be designed. Adapting the condition of the Columbus downtown site, the program of the tower is naturally plugged in the grid and bubble spaces generated by analysis of the streets and topology of the site. The bubble spaces would be used for mixing the community in the tower. Instead of having a permanent facade, the High rise and high density has panel system so that the facade of the tower would be replaced in every season. Therefore, the High rise and high density tower can be synchronized in terms of the community, cultural unity and life style in Columbus. -- Kyu Ho Chun This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University.
