Mix: Community, Connection, Interaction

Description
This was a student project by Tony Killian for Nick Gelpi's ARCH 342 course, Winter 2009. The goal was to provide a community space that encouraged all occupants to observe and interact with each other. The concept of bundling achieved that goal. The ramp circulation offered opportunities for the occupants to mix, while the external structure strands was bundled in various ways. The one major route of circulation was used to encourage community interaction and connectedness. The bundled structure is meant to represent these connections, which also physically divide the building and provide spaces for Athletic, Community, and Commercial Centers. - Tony Killian This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present.
