This was a student project by Kyu Ho Chun for Stephen Turk's ARCH 442 course, Winter 2007. After elevators, escalators and air conditioning are invented, architecture became abundant. However, the City Center Mall in Columbus, OH has been struggling with increasing profit for the past five years though it is surrounded by potentially good site and environment. I think the main problem of the City Center Mall is the failure of controlling environment. Due to the failure, customers and visitors have stopped coming by the mall. In order to revive better environment of the site and the building, new high technology, CNC, would be involved to generate new circulation of the site. The surface of the form would be optimized by organizing programs, such as hotel, casino and shopping mall. - Kyu Ho Chun This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. Keywords: student work, KSA, drawings and plans, environment monitoring station.~root~>
