- Newman and Wolfrom Chemistry Laboratory addition is located at 100 W. 18th Avenue. This building has the Herrick ID: PH 147. The building was named for Melvin Newman and Melville Wolfrom, the first two faculty members of the department elected to the National Academy of Science. It was built as an addition to Evans Lab in order to temporarily house the Chemistry activity being displaced during the renovation of McPherson Lab. The type of construction was reinforced concrete frame with masonry skin.
