Opportunistic Infrastructure of Urban Rivers

Description
First step of this project was research of problems, possible solutions and opportunities of the system of urban watershed. As an example I chose Glen Echo Watershed and have discovered that natural topographic watershed of Glen Echo run is two and a half times smaller than actual watershed area - stormwater watershed. That was one of the reasons for the poorest water quality of this water body in the lower Olentangy River Watershed. Interaction with stormwater system through daylighting it on six sites of sub watersheds opens an opportunity to use purified water for recreation: swimming, diving, water volleyball, etc. I have tried to combine ecological and community agendas on the site of a pilot park- Audubon Park. Implementation of all six sites would improve the water quality of the Glen Echo watershed, contribute to cleaner water in the Olentangy River and reestablish relationships of public and safe clean water.
