Description
My project centers on the concept of the tensional relationship between point and counterpoint, and how spaces are created and manipulated via this relationship. The site strategy is correlated with meandering elements, which compliments the more rigid form of the building. Entering into this manifest, one will aspire to experience more and more of the unforeseen, while navigating his way through the labyrinth-like structural elements which correlate subliminally with the architectural presence of the building, as well as with the terraced landscape features throughout. At the end of his journey, the visitor will be faced with the contemporary rendition of an amphitheater, which relates to the historical remnants of the site. This design is all about making a sense of wonder out of dynamic relationship between the contemplative hub and its surrounding context.
