Porosity, Columbus Intermodal Terminal

This was a student project by Amy DeDonato for William O'Brien's ARCH 242 course, Winter 2007. The intent of this project was to design a Columbus Intermodal Terminal using conditions developed through an in depth material study. Using wire mesh I was able to manipulate the material in order to produce variances within a controlled field. These operations enabled me to generate a design that worked similarly through program, circulation, and natural light. The overall idea behaved as an inherent system, which allowed passengers to interact with different programmatic elements from level to level. -- Amy DeDonato This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University.
