Description
This is a student project by Paul Miller for ARCH 441 in Autumn 2010. The Scioto Peninsula in Franklinton is the location of a large scale housing project with challenging site conditions. By removing the reservoirs and dams on Scioto River the site can be returned to its natural wetland. Housing along a wetland aims to create a unique living environment and sense of community in central Ohio. The open structures draw nature as close to the inhabitants as possible. This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present. The effort to preserve and digitize drawings in the Student Archives was sponsored in part by the Graham Foundation.
