This is a student project by Miles Suer from Autumn 2010. A Space Elevator is a proposed structure designed to transport material from a celestial body's surface into space. Many variants have been proposed, all of which involve a climber traveling along a fixed cable instead of using a rocket-powered space launch. This cable, then would be anchored on the planetary surface with a 'Space Elevator Station' used as a platform for loading/unloading materials. --Miles Suer This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present.~root~>
