This was an undergraduate student project by Dan Livanec for Tamara Hilmey's ARCH 341 course, Autumn 2005. Use a modular system to create an occupiable wall. Our project involves the study of the bamboo and the investigation of density, structure, and layering. Using PVC tubes as a module, they are constructed into both loops and vertical members to create a structurally sound system. Layering spandex on both the inside and outside creates a skin that may be read as translucent in some areas and opaque in others. - Dan Livanec This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University.
