- This was a student project by David Thrasher for Stephen Turk's ARCH 442 course, Winter 2007. Replace the Columbus city center mall with a hotel/casino. An extensive study of cellular automata lead to the realization that correct placement of objects can cause life or death to an object in a field. Multiple landscapes are created for the user. These new landscapes create new experiential fields in which programmatic objects can inhabit according to the experience intended. The coexistence of path/entry/structure amalgamate to metamorphose the building into a new iconic billboard for the city, while at the same time at the street scale a new retail street-scape destination is created. - David Thrasher This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University. It is part of an effort to make accessible student work ranging from the first student that graduated from the program in 1903 to the present.
