This was an undergraduate student project by Justin Weidl for Jane Amidon's LARCH 457 course, Autumn 2004. Research and object (button) and its type. Construct an environment that communicates what this thing is about, using only a single sheet of 18x24 Bristol board, trace paper, pins, glue, and drafting tape. Extract a single characteristic of the constructed environment that is most compelling to you. Using clay, create a form that magnifies this characteristic to its strongest expression. Translate the abstract form into Landform. Draw contours that represent the form as topography. The resulting grading plan should be scanned and plotted on an 18x24 sheet along with photos of the original object, the interpretation and translation models and minimal explanatory text. -- Justin Weidl This work is a part of the online collections of the Knowlton School of Architecture Student Archives, The Ohio State University.
