Description
White Point Gardens, also known as Battery Park, is located at the southernmost point of the Charleston peninsula, where the Cooper and Ashley Rivers empty into the Atlantic Ocean. It was fortified during the civil war to protect the city. The garden consists of a large grassy area shaded by oak trees and fringed with cannons, monuments, and historical statues.
