This was a student project by Garrett Rubin and Jackie Chen for Karla Trott and Halina Steiner's LARCH 3950 course in Spring 2018.
Towpath Terminal Metro Park Center marks the end, or beginning, of ones journey along the Towpath Trail stretching from the heart of Cleveland through the Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The design distills the environmental experiences one may have along the Trail into different eco-zones within an urban context. In addition, the park aims to alter and activate the currently channelized river’s edge, creating a more hospitable habitat for native fish species along the industrialized Cuyahoga.
