Canada Place is a mixed-use commercial facility consisting of: the Vancouver Convention and Exhibition Centre, The Pan Pacific Hotel, The Vancouver Port Authority Corporate Offices, Cruise Ship Terminal, The CN IMAX Theatre, World Trade Centre Office Complex and Citipark parking facility.
The exterior design of Canada Place (a relic from "Expo '86") is based on Canada's maritime heritage and British Columbia's reputation as Canada's Gateway to the Pacific. The complex, with its peaked fabric roof, is designed to resemble an ocean liner under full sail.
