The Chinese House (Chinesisches Haus) is located in the Rehgarten (deer garden) at Sanssouci and served as a summer dining hall in the time of Frederick the Great. Johann Gottfried Buring, the architect, was influenced by sketches by Frederick the Great. It is designed in the "Chinese Style" (Chinois) which was popular during the 18th Century.
