This building, called "The Tradition at Northgate", is student housing affiliated with Texas A&M but managed independently.
Due to the rapid population growth of Texas A&M University in the 1930s, the surrounding market also experienced significant growth. The Northgate district became the first established business district in College Station. It is named for its proximity to Texas A&M's north gate. In 1994, planning efforts to restore the area began.
