Description
A statue nicknamed 'Fonske' is located in the middle of the cross-section of roads behind the choir of St. Peter's church. It represents a person reading a book while pouring liquid in his head (probably beer: Leuven is a city famous for lager beer). 'Fonske' is a typical Flemish name - the diminutive of Alfons or Alphonse. This sculpture is also known as 'Font Sapienza'.
