The Library of Hadrian is located on the north side of the Acropolis, immediately north of the Roman Agora. The complex was built by the Roman emperor Hadrian in 131-132 CE. The rectangular building of the Library comprises a Corinthian propylon on the west side, an open peristyle courtyard, three projecting conchs on each of the long sides, a library, study and lecture halls.
