Description
"Peter Rice and RFR were invited by I.M. Pei to develop a second, inverted pyramid after having assisted his team on the Grand Pyramid in the final construction design and fabrication stages. This smaller pyramid is intended as a chandelier, reflecting daylight into the underground exhibition and shopping areas of the Carousel gallery. The structure is almost entirely of cables, relying on the mass of the glass to maintain the tension." p. 134 Keywords: Four point suspension assembly for glass, exhibition and exhibition structures, exhibition buildings.
