This was a student project by Nicholas Lewis for Nader Tehrani and Luke Kautz ARCH 844 course, Spring 2006.
Project Description:
"Project competition to build a new facility for the Issam Fares Institute at the American University of Lebanon, in Beirut. The program calls for a conference center, auditorium, offices, research library, and classrooms. The studio problem was to develop a system which would accommodate many functions simultaneously within it workings; which would work at multiple scales, multiple materials and give the building its over all concept. The working of this system through the project was then to solve multiple problems as well as give new alibis to the artistic figuration." -- Nick Lewis
