Levitt and Sons, Inc. is built in Levittown, New York, a low-cost mass-produced housing development, in the late 1940's to provide housing for returning WWII veterans. Its success led to the development of two more Levittown communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersery, and is now considered one of the most famous suburban developments.
