Description
The Longaberger Alumni House is located at 2200 Olentangy River Road on The Ohio State University campus. It is shown here as Herrick Archives Building Number PH 022. The site is located north of the Bloch Cancer Survivors' Plaza and at the south end of the Fawcett Center parking lot. The Board of Trustees officially named the building "The Longaberger Alumni House" on May 1, 1998 for the Longaberger family, who have had an active association with the university. Alternate names noted are Fawcett Center Alumni House, Fawcett Center, and Alumni House Addition. During development, the budget and milestones were revised to recognize the construction of a new facility rather than an addition to the existing facility (Fawcett Center for Tomorrow). The building provides a large space for Board of Trustees meetings and alumni events. Internal spaces include: The Ralph & Barbara Rockow Board Room and The Ruth & John Mount Leadership Suite. The building is a steel frame construction with a masonry skin and has four floors and a basement. Architect: Wandel & Schnell Architects; General Contractor: Gutknecht Construction Company, Inc.
